Fortitude unified external software in one custom application
Baker Jørgensen struggled with inefficient workflows due to multiple software solutions for various operations that didn’t integrate with each other. Managing time tracking, food safety, operations, and employee documentation across multiple platforms created unnecessary complexity and manual processes.

Challenge
Baker Jørgensen faced significant inefficiencies due to fragmented systems. They relied on multiple software solutions, such as Anticimex for food safety and Tidsbanken for time tracking, but often used only small portions of these tools which the cost didn’t justify.
Multiple software solutions that didn’t integrate or speak with each other also meant double entries, several log-ins and multiple sources of “truths”, which didn’t provide a good overview of documentation and resulted in several manual tasks.
Some of their challenges included:
- Duplicated data entry across different platforms
- Multiple logins and scattered information, creating inconsistencies
- Manual processes for critical operations like work contracts, which involved repeated follow-ups and unclear signing procedures
- Inefficient shift management, requiring calls and messages for schedule adjustments
- Lack of a unified system for handling documentation, internal handbooks, and task management
Solution
Recognizing that no single off-the-shelf solution could meet all their needs, Baker Jørgensen partnered with Fortitude who developed a custom employee application for them.
“We collaborated closely with the developers at Fortitude, who allowed for continuous iterations and real user testing”- Baker Jørgensen

The process included:
- Iterative development & real user testing: The process evolved organically through close collaboration, with real-time user feedback shaping the app’s functionality.
- Rapid progress: Within just six months, the team successfully built and deployed the app.
- Integrated features: The app consolidated multiple systems, reducing reliance on external software.
Results
- Cost savings
